BMA Studio is proud to share that our Founder & Director, Leila Sobek, took part in the prestigious Critical Infrastructure Summit 2025, held on June 18th at the Habtoor Grand Resort, JBR, Dubai.
Leila joined a distinguished panel of experts to discuss ‘The Need for Green’, a timely and essential dialogue focused on sustainable infrastructure and its impact on shaping resilient, future-ready cities. Moderated by Alicia Dunsford of the Water Security Collective, the session brought together thought leaders from across the region, including representatives from ACCIONA, Buro Happold, InSite Planners & Landscape Architects, and Springs Global Consultancy.
During the discussion, Leila emphasized the responsibility of architects and designers in integrating sustainable practices across all phases of development. She highlighted BMA Studio’s approach to environmentally conscious design that not only meets aesthetic and functional needs but also contributes to climate resilience. Leila shared:
“This summit reflects the urgency with which we must rethink our built environments. It was an honour to share our vision and learn from other innovators driving change in the region.”
The Critical Infrastructure Summit continues to be a vital platform for leaders across sectors to collaborate on strategies that address the challenges of climate adaptation, urban growth, and sustainable development.
At BMA Studio, sustainability is not just a principle — it’s a practice. We remain committed to creating spaces that are as thoughtfully designed as they are environmentally responsible.
Stay tuned for more updates on our initiatives and collaborations as we continue to contribute to the dialogue on sustainable futures.
